About Lorna
For over 40 years, Lorna Wing has been inspiring people with her incredible food
Having begun her culinary career with Prue Leith, Lorna cooked her way around the world. She sailed the Atlantic, crewing aboard a yacht bound for the Caribbean and went on to become one of the country’s leading event organisers, booked to cook for everyone from royalty to rock stars.
Lorna came to prominence at the helm of Heal’s Restaurant, in London, which she ran for Sir Terence Conran. She has written columns for national newspapers and newsstand magazines, and is the author of the best-selling cookbook Party Food. Today, she develops menus for high-profile events and recipes for well-known food brands. Lorna is a member of the Guild of Food Writers, the UK’s association for professional food writers, journalists and broadcasters.
Lorna is one of a select number of Approved Activity Providers licensed by The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to teach cookery. She is passionate about imparting her knowledge to young people wanting to be more confident in the kitchen and learn an essential life skill.
